the lost paintings: a prelude to return
curated by rula khoury, haidi motola, and joëlle tomb
october 19-december 17
at unbound visual arts and the brookline arts center

presents the work of 53 modern and contemporary artists from palestine and the diaspora
the artists reimagine a historical exhibition by maroun tomb, a palestinian-lebanese artist, whose exhibition in haifa opened the day the UN forced the partition plan of palestine in 1947.
his exhibition was disrupted and lost to the nakba as he fled palestine
